I tried this out after my brother mentioned he was curious about it too. It’s definitely sensitive enough and picks up what it needs to, but the action feels a bit slower than I expected. Not a dealbreaker, just something I noticed while using it

I had to wait a few days to get a reply, and when it finally came through, the answer was short. It’s not even about that specifically, since it wasn’t the worst experience or anything, but the customer service just felt like it could be a lot quicker and a little more helpful.

I liked it at first and thought it was good, but then it broke way sooner than I expected. It worked fine for a little while, and then it just stopped holding up. I was really disappointed because it seemed good at the beginning, but breaking so soon is frustrating. I shouldn’t have to deal with something breaking that quickly, especially when it seemed decent at first.

The website looks kinda old and messy imo. The colors and layout don’t really work well together, and browsing it isn’t that enjoyable. I was expecting something cleaner and more modern from a brand site like this.

I really wanted to like this Lews reel, but it just didn’t feel right from the start. It was kind of rough straight out of the box, and after only a few uses it somehow got worse?! Casting felt weird, the drag wasn’t consistent, and for what I paid, I expected a lot better. Disappointing overall.

I bought a reel from Lew's and at first it seemed totally fine. After a few trips, though, the drag started getting jerky and would stick, then suddenly slip. I ended up losing a couple fish because of it, which was really frustrating. It’s not the worst reel I’ve ever used, but once that happened, I kind of lost trust in it. I just don’t feel like I can count on it anymore.

As someone who’s just getting into fishing, I felt lost using this site. There were way too many terms I didn’t understand and not enough simple explanations to help me out. I was mainly trying to figure out which reel goes with what, but it ended up feeling more confusing than helpful

I wasn’t totally sure these would work with my old reel parts, and I was ready for a bit of a hassle, but they fit just fine with no issues. Easy overall

I've been using Lew's gear for years and always stuck with them because they've treated me well in the past. That said, the last couple items I've picked up just don't feel like the same quality I remember. I still want to stay loyal to the brand, but it's getting harder when the newer stuff feels a bit disappointing.

Got my stuff in the mail, everything was fine overall. One item did ship a little later than I expected tho, but it did show up eventually so not a huge deal.

The site was okay overall, but I kind of wish I’d spent less time hunting around for the rod and reel details. The pages loaded fine and the pictures were helpful, but the filters felt limited. The product info is there, I just regret not having all the specs laid out more clearly in one spot. Not a bad experience, but not one I’d call great either.

I had been checking lews.com for a reel that was sold out, and it actually came back in stock fast. Once it was available, ordering was simple and didn’t take much time. I would’ve liked maybe a little more heads-up when it restocked, but that’s a small thing. Mostly I’m just glad I didn’t have to wait around forever.

I think this just showed up at the worst possible time, because the packaging was way too thin and the reel had come loose inside. The box was crushed and scratched up by the time it got to me, so it didn’t feel like it had much protection at all

They got my reel fixed and it’s working fine now. Nice. It did take a little longer than I expected, but overall I’m happy with the service.

It does cast a long way and lands pretty much where I’m aiming, so I’ll give it credit for that. I just wish the overall experience felt a little better, because when I had a question, I kind of felt dismissed instead of actually helped...

I bought a reel and realized I needed a different model, so I figured exchanging it would be straightforward. It wasn’t terrible, but reading between the lines, it felt like the return process just isn’t set up to be very customer-friendly. Replies took longer than I expected, and the instructions were vague enough that I had to keep double-checking what to do next.
Having to cover return shipping myself was frustrating too, especially since the whole thing already felt more drawn out than it needed to be. I did eventually get it handled, so credit where it’s due, but it took more time and patience than I’d hoped. The products seem fine, but the returns side could definitely use some work.

I did eventually get it working, but the setup was more annoying than I expected. The instructions weren’t terrible, but they didn’t always make it clear what I was supposed to do next, so I kept having to guess or backtrack. Now that it’s running, it’s fine, but the maintenance still feels a little fiddly. Not a bad product overall, just more frustrating than it needed to be.

I’ve been really happy with this as a bass jig setup. For me, it has the right feel and handles bass well. I’ve used it for crappie too, and it’s okay for that, but I personally like it a lot more for bass.

I spent some time browsing Lew's while looking for a new reel, and overall they had a solid selection. There were plenty of models to look through, which was helpful since I wasn’t totally sure what I wanted yet.

I also liked that they had rods, combos, and reels all in one place, and most of the site was easy to navigate. I didn’t have much trouble finding the main categories or checking out different options.
The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that some of the models felt really similar, so I had to click back and forth a lot to compare them. That seems like a preventable hassle if the comparison details were easier to see side by side.

I ordered from lews.com because I had a feeling the quality would be better for what they were charging, but once it arrived, it just didn’t really feel that way. Nothing was terrible, but my gut reaction was that it seemed average and a bit overpriced. I expected more, and I don’t think I’d buy from them again
